Struck by Lightning

Struck by lightning is the name of the book written by Jeffrey Rosenthal, the professor of proabability in university of Toronto. I got acquainted with him in a conference titled New Directions in Monte Carlo Methods held in Fleurance in France. That event changed my direction in a non-Monte Carlo way.

I found Jeff wrote a book for public about probability and it had a great success in different languages. The book is in the level of non statisticians, non mathmaticians. So if you are in domain of probability of statistics you may offer this book to your relatives to understand what you are doing in simple words.

I proposed him to do the translation in Persian and Esperanto languages, the languages that I am a sort of fluent in. He openly encouraged me and I am working on the Persian version currently.

I will try reauthoring book by keeping the structure of the book unchanged as much as possible and publish it in Persian. Thats a huge amount of work because some of the probalems in the book are nonsense in today Iranian society. To keep feedbacks with my audiences I created a blog for the Persian version.
